Computer Education

    At this time in history, the computer is one of the most important tools we can teach a student to use.  At EMS, we want to make our students as computer literate as possible.  The keyboard is the primary method of communicating with a computer.  For this reason, we feel all students need a keyboarding skills class before continuing computer classes in software applications.


    Students taking one computer class:
Students who take only one computer class will automatically be placed into Keyboarding, regardless of course title. Keyboarding students, who demonstrate proficient typing skills, will automatically be moved to Computer Applications (word processing, spread sheet, presentations).


    Students taking two computer classes:
Students taking two computer classes will automatically be placed into Keyboarding first and then
Computer Applications (word processing, spread sheet, presentations)., regardless of course title.
