Computer Education
At this time in history, the computer is one of the most important tools we can teach a student to use. At EMS, we want to make our students as computer literate as possible. The keyboard is the primary method of communicating with a computer. For this reason, we feel all students need a keyboarding skills class before continuing computer classes in software applications.
Students taking one computer class:
Students who take only one computer class will automatically be
placed into Keyboarding, regardless of course title. Keyboarding
students, who demonstrate proficient typing skills, will
automatically be moved to Computer Applications (word processing,
spread sheet, presentations).
Students taking two computer classes:
Students taking two computer classes will automatically be placed
into Keyboarding first and then
Computer Applications (word processing, spread sheet,
presentations)., regardless of course title.
